Anybody used ChronoForms with CSVImproved?

jupitergardens 10 May, 2009
I'm redoing my store, and I would love to create a way for vendors to upload their product (in this case ebook) information, including images, and have Chronoforms send that into a CSVImproved-compatible file. Since CF can export to CSV, I'm thinking this might be possible? And then I can turn around and import that CSV file into my Virtuemart.

If anyone has done this, knows how to do this, or thinks they can help, I'd love to hear from them.

This would make my offering books (and theoretcially other items) from vendors so much easier than inputing every product one by one.

Thanks!!!!!

Hi jupitergardens,

I think this will work, vendors submit forms which are stored in records and you get the whole records set using CSV file which is imported to VM, you may need to pickup your form fields names and remove 2 or 3 Chronoforms columns from the CSV file though!

Hi jupitergardens,

It's certainly possible - though I've no idea what a CSVImproved file is. Basically you can add the input to a database and then write the code to export to pretty much anything OR you can add PHP to process an individual submission and process that.

Thanks gentlemen. I'm afraid I'm probably not savvy enough with the coding to do it, but I'm glad to hear it's possible. Certainly an option for my store going forward and something I'm sure I could get someone to code for me (for money of course, LOL!).

Thanks! This is one of the best boards for support out there!
