Problem with Chronocontact Plugin

Topdim 02 May, 2009
I have downloaded the chronocontact plugin to add article to a form but whenever i enable
the plugin the following message appears in the frontens and not just in the section where the form is published but everywhere. The whole site collapses in other words. The message is:

Warning: require_once(/home/cycles/public_html/portal/components/com_chronocontact/libraries/chronoform.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/cycles/public_html/portal/plugins/content/chronocontact.php on line 10

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/cycles/public_html/portal/components/com_chronocontact/libraries/chronoform.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/cycles/public_html/portal/plugins/content/chronocontact.php on line 10

Maybe it is a compatibility issue. If not what is then?

Hi Topdim,

This most commonly happens when the version of the module doesn't match the ChronoForms version. Which versions are you using.

Bob

PS The latest are v31. RC5 released this morning - there is a new component, module and plugin.
Topdim 04 May, 2009
It seems you are right. I have chronoforms v3.0 and i installed chronocontact v3.1.
I installed now chronoforms 3.1 and i suppose that will fix the issue when i'll try again to install chronocontacts.

Thanks

I had the same problem today. So I have to reinstall the component and module? Should I use the Backup Form feature to save my forms and load them after the new installation?

Hi ktsixit,

Which versions do you have installed now?

Bob

I have the
Chrono Contact 3.1 RC2 Component
and the
zip.png
ChronoForms V3.1 RC5 Plugin

After I installed the plugin, I got the same errors with TopDim

Hi kysixit,

You'll need to update the component to RC5.0 (or downgrade the plugin). They do need to match.

Ok, thank you very much:)

Can I find the 3.1 RC2 version Plugin somewhere? I found only the new version in the Downloads section?

Hi ktsixit,

We recommend that you upgrade the component as the later version is more stable. If you need to downgrade then please ask Max for the old Plugin though the Contact form here.

Hi my site was working ok and today this error:
Warning: require_once(/home/public_html/components/com_chronocontact/chronocontact.html.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/public_html/plugins/content/chronocontact.php on line 15

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/public_html/components/com_chronocontact/chronocontact.html.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/public_html/plugins/content/chronocontact.php on line 15

Can you have suggestion? Thank you?

Hi simovina,

You've probably run some kind of virus/hack checker on your site and it and flagged the file as possibly hacked. If so please white list it again.

Thanks for answer.
Well not sure about virus, I didn't change any options over there, it just appeared, not sure if it's ok for me to change cpanel options or something? How do you mean to white list and where?
I tried reinstalling it all component and plugin, but site then display blank screen on all pages? I uninstall both but still blank index, I'm not sure how to hande this one?
Any more suggestions?

Hi simonova,

Please check if you have the file /home/public_html/components/com_chronocontact/chronocontact.html.php

Yes it's there.
I'm usting version 3 for both plugin/component.
Not sure what can I check more.
GreyHead 24 Sep, 2011
Hi simonova,

Hmm . . . you say the file is there; PHP can't find it. One of you has to be missing something??

By all means email or PM me the site URL and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.

Hi, thanks for concerns, I was not able to fix it so I rolled back old backup that I had and it worked.
