Chronocontact pastes code after form

crashtackle 27 Apr, 2009
Hello,

Any idea why I am getting this code pasted into my articles directly after my form? I am using chronocontact to insert the form into the content item. It seem to work fine, only it inserts a whole bunch of code after the form...

any help greatly appreciated.

Hi crashtackle,

This must be the twentieth thread on this. You have the Email Cloaking Plugin on and it's trying to Cloak the example email in the validation error messages :-(

Turn email cloaking off, switch the sequence of the plugins round, wait for the next release with a fix . . .

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the repeat post... 😶

AT the risk of further embarrassment where would I turn it off?

Hi crashtackle,

In Site Admin | Extensions | Plugins Menu (not the ChronoForms one).

Worked like a charm. Will turning that plug off have any other negative effects that I should be aware of?

Thanks a million for the help.

Hi crashtackle,

Well it inserts a little JavaScript snippet to encode email addresses in the html and stop them being scrapable. In general. I try to avoid addresses in plain html anyhow.

The conflict is fixed in the next release of ChronoForms due in the next day or so.
