Hi,
I've fired up CC on my dev system and want to upload to production. It would be great to find the parameters that I've tweaked on dev and just upload to prod. So where are the parameters stored? Doesn't seem to be in the file system. In the mySQL tables?
Thanks,
david
Hi rdf,
Yes I think I'm right in saying that the whole ChronoConnection is stored in a single record in the jos_chronoconnectivity table.
Bob
Hi all,
Thanks to the tip, I looked around. ChronoComments metadata (parameter info) is stored in the jos_components MySQL table. So it makes it tricky to export and re-import unless you are a SQL hound.
Cheers,
david
Hi David,
Sorry, I was looking at ChronoComments :-(
It is true that the Component Parameters are stored in the jos_components table for ChronoComments.
Bob
@bob @david,
I hadn't realized this in the past,.. until I went to import comments from a live site into a site we're designing to replace the live site... got the comments imported to the ChronoComments admin fine.. but the comments will not show on the front end. Odd, to say the least. I have always had very good experiences with ChronoEngines components..
BTW, the new comment form IS showing at the bottom of the article in the dev site.. just none of the imported comments..
So, what might be happening here? Do I need to copy data from any DB Tables? If so, which ones..🙂
Thanks again,
Jesse
PS This is regarding transferring / migrating comments from a live site, to a development site that will eventually replace the live site. Different designs and DBs are being used. Both installs are running current J! installs and ChronoComments 1.2
Hi Jesse,
I know next to nothing about ChronoComments so tend not to answer posts here. Max hasn't been on the forums much for the last few days - your best bet may be to email him directly from the Contact Us link here.
Bob
Hey Bob,
Thanks for the reply.. will do. I've got Max's email on hand so I'll shoot one over and see what's cracking🙂
Have a great one Bob!
Jesse
