3.1 RC3 Multi Language Plugin Causes Error

chelramsey 20 Apr, 2009
Hello.

I have successfully used CF on another site for multilanguage. On this site however, whenever I turn on the MultiLanguage plug in, I get this error when trying to access the form's page:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::toObject() in /home5/kueitcom/public_html/libraries/joomla/application/module/helper.php on line 145

It goes away. This is kind of holding the site up from going live, so any help would be much appreciated! Thank you so much!!!

Hi Chel,

Please double check that the plugin is correctly configured, start removing some translation text or so to find out where the problem exists!

Hi Max,

Where do I configure it out? All I can see is to check it on or off?

There no translations at all in the fields. Simply turning it on results in:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::toObject() in /home5/kueitcom/public_html/libraries/joomla/application/module/helper.php on line 145

Hi Chel,

Then try to add some translations and see, maybe the problem is that it makes an error when there is no translations!

Let me know!

Hey Max,

It does it with or without translations. If it is activated, it creates the error. When deactivated the error goes away. Regardless if there are translations in the box when its activated or after it is activated.

Hi Max,

I ran the upgrade per your instruction and am now using RC 3.4.11. I still get the error when I turn on the multi-language plug-in. Is there something else I need to install beside the main component plug in?

The languages I have listed are: fr-FR,es-ES

Hi Chel,

One question, is this the form page or a module/plugin page which shows the error after enabling the multi lang plugin ?

The form page. So when clicking the link that links directly to the form from the list in chrono forms, I get the error. Also same thing when going to the menu link that links to the form in the front end. The chrono form component and backend work fine. So no, this is not a form in a module or plugin.

Thanks =)

Hi Chel,

I will test this well before RC4.2, I think the new version will be available this weekend!
