menu creator step by step

dianaj59 20 Apr, 2009
I'm using joomla 1.5.
I have a form named Teacher_Registration. Users input information into this form.
I want to create "something" (view, form) that an administrator can go to see all the information in the database reflecting it in the same format as the Teacher_Registration form, only viewing one record after another.

If the menu creator can do this, please tell me what each field means.
I go to components > chrono forms > Menu Creator...
Form. Parent. Linked Text. Order.
Icon, I understand.

Any information on how to do this would be appreciated.

UPDATE:
I'd still like to learn how this menu creator works, direction to a tutorial maybe, but I think if I can use a search field on my form that will work for my purposes. So, i'll retract this one.
Thanks.

Hi Dianaj59,

The menu creator pretty much does what it says on the tab - it creates Admin menu items that let you link to saved data from your forms.

Okay.
So if I had a form that only the administrator should see. I could use this?
The Form would be the form that holds the private data only for the administrator.
What would be the parent, linked text, and Order?

I'm sorry, this isn't clicking with me yet. Can you give me a simple visual example?
Thank you.

Hi dianaj59,

It has nothing directly to do with the form - it's the saved data display. Please try it out for yourself, much easier than me explaining.

Hi promoter,

Copy the full url to the form, then use the 'link' button in your editor to create a link to the form using the url.

Hi promoter,

Copy the full url to the form, then use the 'link' button in your editor to create a link to the form using the url.

no way to do it?
if you have 1000 products to do so as long as

then you may need a php loop to dynamically generate it but you will need to have a sequential data list or array with all variable data!
