Dropdown selection box cannot be populated

judyksp 11 Apr, 2009
I have designed a simple form which has a dropdown box. I entered 3 possible options for this dropdown box. But when I run it at the front end, there is only one option. And when I go back to the admin side, I see one option only. The other two options are not saved at all.

I have uninstalled the software and reinstalled it and the problem is still the same. I have also deleted the form and recreated the form and I am still having the same problem.

What can be wrong?

Hi judyksp,

There was a bug in ChronoForms RC3 using the Wizard on IE7 that caused this - I thought that Max had fixed it in RC4. If you still have RC3 please upgrade to the new release (you can just install the new package and it will over-write the older one).

If you aealready using RC4 then perhaps the bug wasn't fixed, the workaround was to use another browser to create your forms - FireFox or Chrome worked fine; you can then view then OK in IE.

Hi GreyHead

Thanks for the information. I have upgraded to RC4 and I can now add and save all the options in for the dropdown with no problem. However, when I tried to enable the email (under Setup Email), the right hand side properties box keeps moving down as I try to move my cursor the the bottom to enable email and click on apply. I could never do that properly as I cannot get to the buttons. So, I switched over to Firefox and everything is okay. Guess there is still some small bug in IE7.

Cheers

Hi Judy,

Rc4 or RC4.11 ? upgrading from RC4 to 4.11 is so easy, 1 click install
