Message to user after comment submitted

kstarcher 08 Apr, 2009
Hello all -

Just installed ChronoComments, and so far it looks good. I would like to set up comments to require admin to verify/publish the comment, but without making the user check their email & verify it. Comments seem to work when I submit and publish them. However, when I submit a comment, a box pops up that says "OK" and when you click it, it just goes back to the article (because of course the comment isn't added right away). To the user, it looks like nothing happened and their comment was lost. Is there some way I can add a message to the box that says something like "Thanks for submitting! Your comment will be posted after an admin reads it" or something like that? I've poked around the files a bit but can't seem to figure out where this OK box is coming from, or how to add something to it.

Thanks!

Hi K,

set the comments to be by default "verified" and "unpublished", you should see a message like "your comment is posted but unpublished until reviewed" I can't remember the message text but its not only "OK"

Thanks for the reply... I've got messages set to "unpublished" and then the only option for verification seems to be "Send verification emails? - Disabled - Send to guests only - Send to Everybody". So if I set that to disabled, that should mean comments are automatically verified...?

In any case, it didn't make any difference, I still just get "OK".
