Hello,
Congratulations for Chrono Forms, what a component. It really helps!
At the Admin backend of Joomla, French accents are not well displayed as soon as I use the Form Manager of Chrono Forms.
I have French captions at the Admin menus because I use Joomla installed in French.
Those French accents of the Joomla interface are now well displayed, but as soon as a go into another administrator view, correct accents are back.
Example of accent errors:
"compatibilité: 1.0" become "compatibilité: 1.0"
"Prévisualiser" becomes "Prévisualiser"
and so on...
This is not a big deal, but there is more problematic.
As soon as I save a caption with an accent in the Form Wizard (for example "Civilité") and I save the Form, then the form is cut just before the accent. All other items of labels of the form that should follow are deleted both at the form view and at the Form Wizard.
😢
I this bug could be fixed at a next version.
My configuration:
I'm using the V 3.1RC3, and I had the v 1.3RC2 previously.
I have Joomla 1.5.9, installed with the french language.
Unix Debian, PHP 5.2.0-8+etch11, MySQL 5.0.32.
I can add one more clue:
When I am at any page of the Form Manager of Chrono Forms, FireFox force the encoding to "West Europe (iso-8859-1)" (see it at menu Display/Encoding characters). While it is "Unicode (Utf-8)" of all another Joomla admin pages. This may be because FireFox found some strange charters in the contents.
If I go to the Form Wizard of any recorded Form, then force the display to "Unicode (Utf-8)" using the FireFox menu. Than all is displayed correctly and my Form is saved correctly also.
This is a workaround for the bug, but while it is still there it stay dangerous to save a Form.
Regards,
