Captcha image not showing IE7/Safari

vivking 21 Mar, 2009
Hi, I'm having problems with the captcha image not showing up in IE7 and my boss has the same problem on Safari Mac. (I'm not having that issue on Safari Win).

http://anthonyinsuranceservices.com/components/com_chronocontact/chrono_verification.php?imtype=1

On this form (or any of them), the captchas don't show on IE7
http://anthonyinsuranceservices.com/components/com_chronocontact/chrono_verification.php?imtype=1

However, when I login and look at the anti-spam tab for this form, I see an image on IE7.

I've checked many of the common problems that I've found through the posts on the forum:

chrono_verification.php?imtype=1 is at 755
the folders above it are at 755

We can't take to 777 as it is SuPHP(? misspelling)?.

I've already tried taking it from img/png to text/html.
I've changed it to produce jpg instead. Still have problems.

Not sure what version of Chronoforms this is. This site was initially loaded last April. So an older version of Chronoforms.

The contact form does work correctly when you fill it out and enter the captcha (tested on FF3). There appears to be no problems with sessions.

Any pointers, obvious mistakes, and feedback appreciated. Thank you.

Hi vivking,

The images on the Contact form page show up here OK - FF3, Safari, IE7, Chrome, and Opera all on PC

The problem might be because the image is an http image on a https page?? I think that has been discussed here.
