How do I insert a form into an article?

doxenberg 16 Mar, 2009
Hi,
Please pardon the seemingly silly question, but I jut created a form and would now like to insert it into a published article so visitors have the opportunity to complete the form.
How do I accomplish this????

Thanks!

Alright, so I did a little more homework and discovered I need to have the Mammot installed, which I did, and once that is done, theoretically I would just need to add {chronocontact}my_form_name{/chronocontact} at the point within the article where I would like the form to appear.
Well, this is not working for me :-(
Whenever I view the target article in a web browser I see the text displayed exactly as I typed it, "{chronocontact}my_form_name{/chronocontact}" and no form.
In Form Manager, I clicked on the form and on the General tab I have Mambots enabled, is this an appropriate setting?
I would think this needs to be turned on to support Mambots?
Anyway, I must be doing something wrong and would appreciate some help...

Thanks!

Hi doxenberg,

Most likely you don't have the ChronoForms Mambot/PlugIn enabled. In the Site Admin go to the Extensions | PlugIns menu and check.

You can disable the entry on the Form General Tab - this is for enabling PlugIns inside forms.

:-)
That was it!!!
I had to enable the chronocontact plug-in and voila, the form appeared within the body of the published article.
Thank you so much Bob!!!!

Hi

Can you guide me please

I want to do the same thing here...install Mammot so that I could insert Chrono form into article.

I went to here http://www.mammot.org.uk/download.php to download Mammot, there are so many thing(files) there, I don't know what to download.

Am I at the right website for download? This I guess is not like installing plugin or component to your Joomla.

Thank you

Onglai

Hi Onglai,

Download the ChronoForms Plug-in/Mambot from the Downloads area here.

Hi GreyHead,

Thank you for replying. You can imagine that I have much to learn.

I installed the plug-in and added the tag to article, and the form appeared perfectly 😀

Thank you

I'm positive I have the plugin installed and enabled. But I'm unsure about what it means to "disable the entry on the Form General Tab" does that mean to unpublish it from within the ChronoForms component? Or is that referring to enabling Mambots on the General Tab for that form? If so, I have already tried it with and without the Mambots enabled...

Thanks in advance for your help!
