Unable To Save Settings

krackerjax 14 Mar, 2009
I am having trouble saving my form. I notice an error in IE and Firefox. When I double-click on the error box at the bottom of IE it says:

Line: 272
Char: 4
Error: 'name.value' is null or not an object
Code: 0

I have to refresh the page then hope it does not happen again. If it does then any modifications I have made to the form settings goes bye bye because I am unable to save the changes.

Hi krakerjax,

That's a JavaScript error in IE - typically they are caused by a conflict with something else on the page.

Is the page on-line so we can take a look?

This issue is only under the adimistrative configuration page, not my actual contact page. I noticed the issue while in Firefox (my primary browser I use). I then decided to open the admin page in IE to see if any error.

Hi krakerjax,

which joomal & chronoforms versions do you have ? if you have firefox then can you please get firebug extension and post the error which firebug will report ? it will be much more helpful than this IE error!

ChronoForms v3.0 RC2 - I just installed it today.

Hi krakerjax,

I really need to check the error myself or you can get firebug and send me more info about it, for me no errors are here!!

an important point is that if you had a previous version of Chronoforms installed before this one then you must make sure your cache is cleared before trying the new one!

I think that may have been the issue. I had cleared the cache because of another issue with Joomla! and I haven't had that issue since.
