I just uninstalled the old version of chronoforms 3.0 and installed the new one so I could edit my forms in the wizard. Now when I create a new form and try to edit it, it says Sorry but this form was not created using the wizard. I created it in the wizard with the new component.
Please help.
Hi michaelinnc84,

Hi michaelinnc84,
after creating the form for the first time, can you open it in the browser and see it with all the fields you added..etc ?

Hi michaelinnc84,

Ok I tried again with same result. When trying to upload the backup file I get "The extension cfbak is not allowed." on your forums.
please compress it to .zip ?

Your program automatically compresses it. How would I change that?

Hi michaelinnc84,
this form is created using the wizard ? did you add any fields while creating it ? the form is completely empty, you said you can view the form in the frontend but only can't edit it, this form will not have something to show!
if this is the problem then I need to login to your site admin and try this myself!

No problems, just tested and created 2 forms and they are fine, I edited the 2nd one after creating it and its fine, I added extra text area with checkboxes and they are added fine so I can't see anything wrong, may be its your browser, which is your browser version ? I'm testing with Firefox 3.0.6

I am using the same browser. It is now letting me edit. Wierd?
I have no idea, may be it was some cache at the site or the browser!
Cheers

Thanks again for all the help and a great component!
I have the exact same problem. Uninstalled 3.0 Stable and installed 3.1 RC2
Used wizard to create simple form (name, email, comment), two emails (one to enquirer from admin, one to admin using dynamic fields to be from enquirer), two different email templates a redirect url and thankyou message.
No form code or email templates are created but email destination/info is.
i get "Sorry but this form was not created using the wizard" if i try to wizard edit.

also.. i see no icons for Transform Form Wizard Edit
may be relevant.
Hi wizdum,
There is no saved Form HTML -I've no idea why but I think that's why you get the 'Can't Edit' message - there isn't anything to edit, nor anything to put into an email template.
Bob
PS The 'Transform Form' icon is beside the 'Wizard Edit' icon
Hi wizdum,
I'm sure this is a browser cache problem, make sure you clear the cache of your browser completely or use a different browser other than this one you used to use with V3.0!

Hi Max,
Sounds like you might be right. Though i thought i had cleared the cache and updated google gears. It works today.
The icons for transform form and wizard edit now appear (were only text before)
anyway. Thanks for your help as always. Maybe put something prominent in the install instructions about clearing browser cache, if its not already there.
Ok, I will😉
