Registration form and duplicate information

Hello,

I create a registration form with Chronoforms and everything works fine except when the userid or the email already exists in the database. In fact the user get the Joomla error message and need to enter new information but the email is still sent even if the user get the error message...

The problem is that the account can't be activated with the information in the email.

Hi Ed,

There was a post a few days ago about using server-side validation to check duplicate user names; and I recall one a few months ago about using AJAX to do the same.

PS I'm not sure why the PlugIn isn't passing back the Joomla eerror message on this ??
