Hi,
I am having a problem with my forms on my webpage. All the forms is using captcha, and everything has been working nice and smooth, until now.
The captcha always (even if I cautiously typed the characters) show the error message "You have entered an incorrect verification code at the bottom of the form.". I havn´t installed any new components since the captcha was working. What could have caused this issue? I have ben trying with or without fonts, but no difference.
I am doing a file upload and sending some emails when submitting. If removing the captcha everything works fine. Using Joomla Joomla! 1.5.9 Production/Stable.
Appreciate if anyone could help me with this one.
/Daniel

Cleaning my browser cache solved the problem. Why is this happening? Do you know if there is a fix for this?
I need to fix this somehow since my users certainly don´t know that the cache should be clean =/
Thanks for your quick response!

Hi daniel,
No idea why it happens, but it does from time to time. Are your users likely to do multiple submits? If they are only likely to submit the form once in a session they are unlikely to have a problem.

Yes, my users is likely to submit several times during a session.
One of my users was complaining about this problem, and it turned out to be a problem to me as well.
When you told me to clean my browser cache it started working for me again. However, it suddenly started working for my other user (on another computer) as well. According to me this has to be a coincidence, but worth mentioning.
Do you have any ideas of how we could test this?
Thanks,
/Daniel

Hi Daniel,
I'm really not sure, I understand what sessions are, but not much about how they work in practice. Maybe the Joomla forums would have an answer?

Hi Daniel,
Submitting the form multiple times here doesn't make any problems, try to change the session handler to "database" in the joomla global config ? because may be the problem is server related, I'm not sure but I will test on another box too and see!
Let me know!
Regards
Max

Hi again,
I am already using "database" session handler in Joomla global config. Havn´t seen the problem since last time we spoke, but I guess it could show up anytime.

Hi
I am facing the same problem on my Joomla 1.5.9 site with Chronoforms v3.0.
It doesn't happen consistently, I have encountered it a couple of times where my carefully typed captcha code failed on the first submit but worked on the second after retyping.
I have other users who failed consistently for 4 to 5 times. Another failed for 1 set of data and was successful for another set using the same form.

I will check the issue but a new reCaptcha plugin will be out which you may use as well if it works well for you!
