I am experiencing what a lot of people are when using SSL in conjunction with Joomla and Chrono. It's not a Chrono problem, however I see this issue posted a lot.

Basically, we are getting a mixed content error when viewing a form with Joomla SSL enabled. The website listed above had found a solution to the mixed content message received. "The mixed content message is given when the page can not be fully encrypted"

Hi pphfl,

for the page to be fully SSL, all elements must be loaded through https links, so, all what you should do is to accept to open the page with the "insecure" items and view the page source and search for "http://" and ignore any URLs (href=), then you can see all insecure elements and fix them!

I used to do this with Jooml1 1.0, but with J1.5 I didn't face this problem before, but if you have it then you can PM me a link to your site and I will check it ASAP and let you know what can be done!

Next Problem...

Does anyone have experience using SSL with Chrono for offline payments?

I have SSL installed and ready to go.. Thought of using PGP to email the data, but I'm not sure to do this or send it to a database.
Which is easier to do? How?

Hi pphlf,

I don't seem to understand the question - can you spell it out a bit more. What do you mean by off-line payment - is this sending credit-card info by email?

Bob,

Sorry for not being more detailed.

I have SSL activated through the menu selection in Joomla and is working correctly. So, phase 1 of using the SSL is complete!
Now I found this http://www.1earthadventures.com/series/secure-communidations/ which seems to explain how to submit and email encrypted info and decrypt it.
However, I'm a non programmer and a lot of it makes zero sense.

Instead of using secure email submit would using a database be easier? Does anyone have experience in how to make an encrypted connection to the database?

Hi pphlf,

I don't suggest storing the CC info in the database, where is the link which advise encrypting the email ? it should have more info and code examples!
