500 - Internal Server Error

tavis_patterson 24 Feb, 2009
Hi folks,
I've installed RC2 for the first time and created a form using the wizard. However in trying to email enable it when I click to edit it it comes up with the infamous 500- Internal Server Error.
I've checked the logs and don't see anything real evident.

Something I'm missing or should look for?

Thanks.

Hi Tavis,

I've seen no other reports of this - and can't think of anything obvious that might give a 500 error.

Is it possible that a file was damaged in the installation?

Thanks Bob,
Doesn't appear to be. One thing I forgot to mention is I'm running on IIS7.

What should I be looking for in the log when I go to edit that form?

Hi Tavis,

Check if GZip compression is enabled at your Global config ?

Hey Max,
Yeah it's off. If I enable it I can't get into Chronoforms at all.

Thanks.

Ummm ok so I reset the www services on the 2008 Server box and was able to get into the edit form now.

Thanks guys.
