3.1 RC2: Using wizard, form code does not save

bommerts 23 Feb, 2009
Using the wizard, I tried creating a very simple form with a textbox and a submit button. I can view the code while in the wizard, and the form appears to save fine when I click the disk icon. However, when going back into the form after saving, the form code has disappeared.

Hi bommerts,

Are you a fresh RC2 user or did you have RC1 or V3.0 stable then upgraded ? if not a fresh one then you will need to make sure your browser cache is clean and then hit the refresh button when you visit the form wizard the first time after cleaning your cache!

if you are a fresh user then tell me please where exactly do you have the code empty ?

Cheers

I was running V3.0 stable. I first exported the old forms, installed RC2, then imported them.

I'll try clearing my browser cache now and let you know how it goes. Thanks for the tip.

Hi, I have a very similiar problem but more specific, just wanna report the bug.

I make my form with Wizard and when saved It it just saves a half of the form. I figurate out that this only happens if I use Spanish charachter like 'é, á' in the label. For example I wanna put 'teléfono' and get these error.

I use firefox and the 3.1 RC2 version, new installation.

Thanks!

Hi adancer,

Thanks for this, you may need to use HTML entities in your code to show these characters without errors é í ó will work OK I think.

Thanks Bob, I will do that, just hope can fix the problem because I was trying deeper and figurate out that no matter where you use those characters when you save it just saves until the 'special' caracter. I like using the wizard and also when designing the email template and save, it design just was saves until the fist specila carachter.

Thanks for the great work!
