Topdim 19 Feb, 2009
I have managed to create a form and to link it with a menu item in my website. What i want to know is if i can an article above or/and the below that form.
In other words i want to combine an article and a form in the same menu item in Joomla.

Any ideas please?

Hi TopDim,

Use the ChronoForms PlugIn to insert a form into an article. You can get it from the downloads area here (I'm not 100% sure that the current plugin works with ChronoForms 3.1 though).

Are you referring to cf_Authorize_dotnet_J1.5.zip?
GreyHead 19 Feb, 2009
Hi Topdim,

No, there's a ChronoForms Mambot/Plugin

I installed ChronoForms_Mambot_V_0.8_-_CFV3.0_Stable as you suggested nevertheless i do not see this plug in available anywhere in the Forms Management.
I am referring especially to the section where the other plug ins are listed such as CB Registration, Joomla Registration and Profile Page.

Any assistance again will be appreciated.

thanks

Hi TopDim,

This is a Joomla plugin . . . use the Admin | Extensions | Plugins menu to get to the admin page.

Yes it is very confusing that Joomla Plugins and ChronoForms Plugins are completely different things.

Hi,

If you would like add a form in an article, you need to active the plugin "Mambot" and following in an article you add :

{chronocontact}name_of_form_that_you_have_created{/chronocontact}

best regards,

Phil

Hi Topdim,

What do you do to get this message? Is this with the menu or the module?

Hi Topdim,

when you paste this code in your article :
{chronocontact}name_of_form_that_you_have_created{/chronocontact}

make sure that:

#1- you added the real form name!
#2- the form is published in the forms management!
#3- the pasted {chronocontact}name_of_form_that_you_have_created{/chronocontact} doesn't have any HTML tags inside it, you can know this only by seeing the source of the code in the editor by clicking the HTML small button of the editor!

Cheers

For the first 2 you mentioned(to be sure that the form is published and that the form name is the real one) i am certain they are OK
For the third one(HTML tags) i am not. So i am pasting the HTML code to see and tell me because i do not know a lot from HTML

<p>I think the title says it all</p><p><span style="font-weight: bold">{chronocontact}Στοιχεια_Πελατη</span><span style="font-weight: bold">{/chronocontact}</span></p>

"I think the title says it all" is the title of the article and "Στοιχεια_Πελατη" which are Greek is the name of the form.

I hope i gave you enough info.

Ok i've done it. THANK YOU A LOT.It seems that the problem was with the HTML tags.

For some reason I am unable to get this to work.

I am using {chronocontact}name_of_form_that_you_have_created{/chronocontact}

where I am putting in the name of the form that I created and it is not working. I checked and this plugin is enabled. Any tips?

Good Morning,
I had the same problem. This might sounds weird, but I just re-typed the code and re-typed it, and finally, one time it just worked.
Can't explain it, except to say that maybe something gox mixed in the first couple of times.

Hi Matt, if the editor added any HTML tag inside the formula then it will not work, so it looks like this happened at the first time!
