Hi vincevg,

It sounds as though you have a form with no form html

Bob
nerf 17 Feb, 2009
evening guys.
I have exactly the same problem. I imagine this has something to do with the fact that when i was instructed (by the pdf tutorial) to change some of the 'form code' the whole field was/is blank, so theres nothing to change.....
Flutje 17 Feb, 2009
I also have this problem. The page shows a blank. I don't run Joomla 1.5 locally but still it won't show anything more than "Joomla Professional Work ". I have uninstalled and re-installed it twice but to no avail. I have created several forms but also no effect.

Martin

Hi guys,

There's clearly now a repeating problem here with v 3.1. I have no idea what it is, hopefully Max will have some suggestions when he's back later.

Hi All,

Just to make sure, I need 2 answers from everybody here please:

#1- the form HTML code box under the "form code" tab is empty ?
#2- which PHP version do you have ?

I'm brand new to ChronoForms and I'm using 3.1 RC1 in Joomla 1.5 with a RocketTheme Template.

I created the form, and the interface was simple to figure out. I created a form named "test" and linked to it via "ChronosForm" link. But when I go to that link the form isn't appearing. At the top of the page it just shows the advertising link for Chrono and nothing else. Am I doing something wrong - missing a step? And yes, I did remember to publish the form. I tried changing to one of my web hosts default templates (trying to eliminate a conflict w/ my template as the issue) and it makes no difference.
edtydotcom 18 Feb, 2009
Hi,

I also installed the latest release, and facing the same problem.
Have made a test form, the only form info that appears is the chronoengine link.

I tried to switch template, but even with the Beezz template the form doesn't show up?

Possible Bug?

When I use the from wizard and click the HTML source button inside the wizard I can see code.

When I click the preview button in the form wizard I also see the form.
I then click the save button and give the form the name: example

I publish the form and click the link and there is nothing to see but the Joomla Professional Work textlink. I do see that there is a javascript error.

When I use the Tranform Form option and I preview any one of the two lay-out examples, there is also nothing to see in the little window that pops open. However when I take at look the source code inside this lttle window I do see code.

The server works with PHP version 5.2.5

Hi All,

I'm currently trying to track the issue and fix it, lets try this small and quick test:

in the forms manager, check the form which doesn't work and was created using the wizard in V3.1 and click "Transform Form", in the new page, select "default" and hit "transform and save", then test the form again and let me know the results!

Hi all,

The problem has been fixed in the attached installer, it was due to the differences between the PHP versions and the JS output generated at the wizard on different browsers and user systems!

Please pay attention that the wizard page will need to be refreshed so that a new version is loaded from all files or the browser may use the cached old version which will not work!

Any forms made using the RC1 will NOT work with this RC2 unfortunately!

Hi webcoders,

Have you installed the patched version?

Bob
Flutje 20 Feb, 2009
I have installed it and it works😀 . Thank you very much!!!

Only thing that doesn't work is the fact that I don't seem to get any e-mail :? .

I was also wondering if i could change the page you see after you hit the submit button. Now it is an empty page (well the lay-out of the page is visible but the center part where the form is/was is empty). A nice thank you for using our form text or something would be nice. Obviously the fact that I am not receiving any e-mail is the highest priority😀 .

Do you have any advise on these two things?

Regards,

Martin
GreyHead 20 Feb, 2009
Hi Martin,

Please check the Email Tutorial in the Downloads section here - there are a few things that have to be set upo correctly.

For a Thank You page just add some html in one of the OnSubmit boxes.

Bob
Flutje 20 Feb, 2009
In my haste to get this up and running I made a typo in the mail address in the Setup emails tab😶 .

I feel rather stupid about this, but it happens to the best of us hahahaha.

Thank you for the heads up on the onsubmit part. I will have a look at it.

Hello a,

I for one only get a blank page.
The Wizard shows code, preview, but the code doesn't get saved in the form code field, when editing the form.
If I copy and paste that code to the HTML Code, will it work?
Yes it does, but no tooltips on frontend
Or is it parsed somehow?
It must be parsed somehow by CF

Here's the form.
GreyHead 20 Feb, 2009
Hi Ramón,

Have you updated to the v3.1 fix that Max posted in this thread?

Bob
Flutje 20 Feb, 2009
I am not sure if this is related to the original problem or I should open a new thread for this but there seems to be an issue with the form I now created and with Chromoforms in general.

This is the from I created:

From the four checkboxes that should be there, only one is shown. I have also created an test form with just the checkboxes that are provided by the wizard: Check 1, Check 2 and Check 3 but from these three checkboxes only the first is shown as can be seen here:

A line of text at the bottom of my form (which should state: * = Required information) is missing.

When filling in the form and leaving one of the required fields empty and hitting the submit button I can see below the empty but required field the text: "This is a required field."
However this doesnt' show up under the E-mail address field which is also a required field.

When filling in all required fields except the e-mail address field althought it set to required the from can be submited and is received.

When choosing a header size for the header text the choosen size isn't always saved and it needs to be redond sometimes more than once. Sometimes it jumps to the previous chosen size.

Martin

Hello Max,

I re-installed the version from the download section and tried again but except for the fact that the line of text at the bottom (*Requierd form) is now visible, evey other issue stayed the same.

From the four checkboxes that should be here:

only one is shown.

Under the Form Code tab > Form HTML there is also only one checkbox. This is the code there:

<div class="form_item">
  <div class="form_element cf_checkbox">
    <label class="cf_label">I am interested in:</label>
    <div class="float_left">
      <input value="Membership in the GGG
" class="radio radio" id="Membership_in_the_GGG
" name="check0[]" type="checkbox" />
      <label for="Membership_in_the_GGG
" class="check_label">Membership in the GGG
</label>
      <br />

I read all the pdf fildes in the download section but couldn't find any answers. I also searched the forum but I couldn't find anything to solve these 'issues'.

Martin
GreyHead 21 Feb, 2009
Hi Martin,

I just created a little form like yours in RC2 with FireFox and all seemed to be OK.

I can certainly create a four check-box group.

The header sizes do jump a bit in the Properties box but the size selected and displayed seems to be OK.

Validation for multiple required fields is OK, I notice in your form that the email field is being validated as 'email', not as 'required' You probably need both.

Bob
Flutje 21 Feb, 2009
Am I doing something wrong with the checkbox feature? I select the checkbox and drag it to appropriate area and there it shows me three checkboxes at once

I don't change anything except for the text and save this page under but it only shows one checkbox while there should be three.

So what am I doing wrong or what is going wrong?

Validation for multiple required fields is OK, I notice in your form that the email field is being validated as 'email', not as 'required' You probably need both.

I expected I would only need the one validation but I will change that and see where it leads me.

Martin

Hi Martin,

first please go to the form wizard page and "refresh" it after clearing your cache because this issue was happening when my localsite was loading the old version of the files!

then, during creating the form and while you have the checkboxes group selected, I would like you to look at the "properties" area and tell me the the data inside the box: options!

which browser did you use for testing ?

Check here how this dramatically changed things: http://chronoengine.com/forums/index.php?option=com_chronoforums&cont=posts&f=2&t=12659&p=24229#p24225

Hello Max,

i am sorry for my late response but I was out of town for a few days. I un-installed and re-installed Chronoforms, deleted all traces of my browsing history and refreshed the page.

here you can see a screenshot of the properties of the checkbox group
White page image 1

Does it look the same as in your Chronoforms?

I am using IE 7 and it didn't result in a correct page I then followed your example and tried it with Firefox and then it works. i am happy my form works but why would there be a difference between creating a form in IE7 and creating the same form in Firefox?

Regards,

it looks the same here under FF or IE7, please create another form using your IE7 and if its still wrong then backup the form and attach it here!

I can create a form in FF the only thing that was missing there was a line of text i added at the end of the form. i have added it by hand inside the code.

I can create a form in IE7 the only thing missing there are all checkboxes except the first one.

So Chronofroms is not flawless. However creating a form in Firefox was the least troublesome.
