Hi all
Compliments to Max for this really good component. I like the basic functionality very much. Not too much bells and whistles and a very good core functionality.
Today I tested ChronoComments, I definitely will use it in my site. However, I think I could propose some potential improvements of the functionality. Below my list. For as far as I can see the listed items are not in the present version and most of them aren't mentioned elsewhere either. Of course it's 'just my list'. I hope Max can find some inspiration in it.

links in email notification should be clickable
For convenient moderating the email notification to admin notification mail should also contain the text of the comment
For convenient moderating, email notification to admin should contain clickable direct link to the page were the comment can be ‘un-published’ (front side?). Same for 'edit comment'.
would it be possible that the author of the article that is being commented receives notifications too, so he/she can moderate these comments him/herself?
link in the e-mail verification should: 1) be clickable 2) verify the comment (as it does now) and 3) bring commenter directly to the page where he was posting. (now an empty page is shown)
‘remember me’ for guests (name, email, using cookie). (this is very convenient and helpful for returning guests)
Show/hide comment form should be ket above comment form
In case logged in user, name/e-mail input fields should be kept hidden and username/e-mail should be automatically those of logged in user when submitting.
Those with un-publish rights at the front side should be able to re-publish them. (Now the comment disappear s…)
Option of setting max number of characters in admin panel. A ‘max chars count down’ indication in editor woud be neat…
XML backup file opens in browser. Should offer downloading the file instead.
Sending automatic notification of new comments replies to commenter. Default on, visitor/commenter must be able to unselect this option. E-mail must not contain text, only clickable link to page, AND, of course, clickable opt-out link…
Auto close postings (time setting in admin panel)
some technical problems I noted:

pages with many comments seem to be very, very slow. Is browser side I assume.
Voting apperars to be possible multiple times, when re-voting within a few seconds (probably cause by very slow response of javasript code on large pages)
Hi gerlag,
The technical problems you list may be the result of a bug that loads the scripts mutiple times - there is a fix for this in the forums here.

Hi Gerlag,
thank you, I will check every item in this list before starting the next version but adding to what Bob said too, for the first points about the "clickable" link, the email text is configured by you and so you can make the link clickable, some user has posted this few days ago here!
Regards

Hi Bob, Thanks for this hint. Found it and I'll check tomorrow how it 'behaves'.

Hi Max, thanks for looking at the list. Yesterday I figured out independently how to make a link 'clickable'. I indeed used the e-mail text configuration.
