Chronocomments cause major loading failure! How is this possible!?
Since i installed them my site got slower and slower?! Check this out!
My site usually has 63 requests, both images, css, js. And it loads for most 6 seconds, most! I found out this by using Firebug. That are results when chronocomments are disabled. But, when i enable chronocomments i get more then 350 requests and loading speeds from 17.3 seconds to 19.9 seconds depending on chronocomments mood 😀. So i installed Firebug and tried disabling thing by thing, module by module. Only thing i found suspicious is chronocomments 😲
How come? When i enable it again and enter view source mode in any of pages it is somehow injecting different javascripts inside, requests duplicated things etc.
How is this possible and are there any consequences produces by this?
BTW.
I am using Xmap, Sh404sef, All Videos Reloaded, Extravote, JCE and Phoca Gallery. I doubt something of this caused problems?
Great GH, tnx. Why the latest version is not updated in download section? I am pretty sure i downloaded latest one there, or is it fix for some specific situations?
I will apply fix this afternoon and let you know

Hi Johnny,
I've no real idea why the release version isn't updated, I think that Max was expecting that a new release would come pretty soon - and then got involved in a major upgrade of ChronoForms among other things.
Bob
Would be nice if it could be updated so new users won't experience ame thing. Its of a rep. matter 😀
cheer GH,
I ll upgrade and report back
Ok, i installed chronocomments again and replaced file in plugins but it seems something is still not fine. I mean i can see difference between this time and last time but i still get too many requests, kilobytes and time.
Without Chronocomments - 280kb, 71 request and 6.9 sec load time
With Chronocomments - 430kb, 110 requests and 10.96 sec laoad time
I noticed it is duplicating load images something.gif loaded twice, and few times same problem with different images.
I mean i can't afford 40% londer loading 😟 😟 😟
any ideas on this? i just installed express install component and then i replaced that patch file for old one, and thats it.
that is what i was supposed to do right?
Hi Johnny,
Is the page on-line? I don't know much about ChronoComments but I can take a look.
Bob
Hi Johnny,
I don't see any sign of multiple loads on the page. There is a lot of content but the slowest download seems to be the page itself, that's only 32kb so I'm not sure why it should be slow. Checking out with FireBug might help.

Hi Johnny,
Here's a fresh load, still nothing to write home about. The 304 were cached items I think.

Hi Johnny,
I tested this here too and I get the same output as Bob, the problem is fixed with the patch you used!

Hi Johnny,
Thank you! 😀 yes you only replace the files with FTP, that's all!
I didn't observe any changes, I tested your page 2 times, first time was exactly as Bob shown, 2nd time was the same too!
