Two forms, both send e-mails, one then presents error 500

rubyred 29 Jan, 2009
Dear all,

I am at a loss: I created two forms with Chronoforms. Both use the Chronoforms-Captcha, both are working. I receive mails after submit from both forms. But one form switches after pressing the submit-button to the Error 500-page. Why can that be? The cause can't be in any global settings, otherwise both forms wouldn't work.
😢

Hi rubyred,

A 500 error is a processor failure - so the most likely cause is some fualty code, an upload that can't be precessed - maybe a broken image generation?

Are the forms on-line?

Hi rubyred,

I can confirm the errors but no obvious cause.

Take the form with an error - turn off validation, anti-spam and database saving; comment out most of the fields and re-try. Add things back in one by one until you isolate the error.

My best guess is some kind of typo in the database save - but that is just a guess!

Hi Bob,
thanks so far!
Wouldn't it be easier to create a new form? That can hardly take more time than the other way...?

Hi Bob,
I created a new form that replaced the bad one. Now everything is working fine! Thanks again for your support,
rubyred
