Verifications emails don't have a hyperlink?

analographi 27 Jan, 2009
How can I enable that a confirmation mail includes a real Hyperlink? at the moment the mails just have a normal text-link which has to be copy pasted into the browser...

Hi analographi,

which email ? the admin notification or comment verification ? you control the email body and so you can control this!

But thank you! I solved it: I didn't realize that I can use html in there.
I replaced the text for the verification email with this:

Hi {name}, Please verify your comment at {sitename} by clicking on this link {br}{br} <a href="{vlink}"> {vlink}</a>{br}{br} If you don't click this link your comment will not be shown.
If you didn't post a comment at {sitename} then please ignore this message because somebody used your email {email} at our site.

Now the user gets a hyperlink.

I suggest you have this text in there as default. Nobody reads text emails anymore. everybody expects a link in there. A lot of users will not even know how to copy the link into the browser πŸ™„
