Backlink Removal [I have paid]

SpazAttack 26 Jan, 2009
I have paid for a license and have yet to receive my licensed component. I tried contacting the developers, resulting in no response. So I have decided to come here and ask the question "How do you remove the source code for the backlink?" It explains after you buy a license that it's possible but I have yet to figure out where this tutorial is...

Please respond asap, my client needs the link removed.

Hi SpazAttack,

I'm surprised that Max hasn't got back you you. Usually he's pretty prompt in replying, maybe he's been away for the week-end.

You should have got a 'licensed' copy by email after you registered with instructions on upgrading your exisiting installations - Max is very good at sending these out so please check your spam folders if you haven't seen it.

Bob

PS I've emailed you as well with a little more info.

Hi ronbrug,

Please remind Max using the Contact form here. If he doesn't get back to you asap then PM me and I'll find a workaround for you.

Hi,

I have also just paid for 5 license usage. I need to remove this back link on 2 forms on my first site. I have a license number but no instructions or patches sent to remove the back link. Please can you tell me what I should do?
Max_admin 07 Jun, 2009
Hi porcupinetree,

please add the license code to the correct place in the Parameters box from the forms manager the save then refresh the forms manager page and it should tell you that your version is now licensed, any more troubles then please let me know through the contact us page!

Max

I'm probably a little bit tired, too much work ? Completly stupid ? But I can't find that "correct place in the Parameters box from the forms manager" ... Here's a screen shot of what I have, and can't find this... Any suggestion ? Thanks by advance

Hi BigStef,

You don't have the latest release installed . . .

I too have some problem with the license code not being recognized. I paid for the 5 site, updated to the latest version of CF, obtained code, added to params and refreshed but still get this message:

Your Chronoforms install at 66.147.xxx.xxx is NOT Licensed, No limited features but for a small fee you get link free forms and help us continue the development and support

When I obtained the code I used the actual domain but I'm accessing the J! admin via the host IP address. Does that make a difference. I wouldn't think so since J! is targeting the proper home directory and it's all in one place. Anyway I could use some feedback on this, thanks!

I just signed on to my site's admin using the primary domain (not IP address) and I'm still getting the unlicensed warning. What else can I try?

I think I may have entered the domain wrong when I obtained the code for my first domain. I tested by installing CF to a second domain and obtained a unique license code for that site and it's working. I sent a PM to the Admin.

Hi sandman,

Max will reply to your PM soon, he's out of town this week so not responding quite so quickly as usual.

Hi GreyHead,
Thanks a lot for your answer. I Have Upgrade, every thing is allright now.
As I can see, Max is very well supported when is off... 🙂

How does the licensing work for 5 domains? I think I entered it wrong, so does that mean I have used 1 up as there does not appear to be a place to edit/delete them, only create more? Can I create more than 5 license codes as long as I am only using 5 at a time that are live because I have new websites during testing using a development url before the name servers are switched to the domain name?

As I am working on a clients website on a development server that uses a sub domain I thought I would be able to enter just the domain, but it still says "is NOT Licensed, No limited features but for a small fee you get link free forms and help us continue the development and support".

Do I need to use the full domain (subdomain.domain.com), and not just the domain.com? As it's only the development server I did not want to have to use a license for this until it's live and using the actual domain, but I would prefer the client not see the powered by link and it saying it's NOT licensed in the backend.

Any help or advice would be great, kind regards, Ian

Hi Ian,

Max will need to answer most of your questions. I do know that he is still working on the licensing code so I expect that the ability to edit and amend will come in time.

My understanding is that the 5 domains/sites limit refers to five live sites (development sites are not counted). I have no idea about subdomains - my guess would be that a separate live Joomla installation requires a license.

I don't much like the big message on my development sites either - and only I get to see it most of the time :-)

Hi Ian,

Every domain/subdomain (not a website under sub directory of a domain) you validate at the license validation page is 1 of the 5 domains you have per license, you should use the same domain name as stated in the "Not licensed" info, so if it tells you that your install at subbdomain.domain.com is not licensed then you need to register this "subdomain.domain.com" or it will not work!

to use it for testing you have 2 choices, #1 you may register 1 testing domain and build your web sites under sub directories, this will work fine, or you may hide the link using the CSS trick, at least this will make it invisible for your client!

if you added a wrong domain then let me know asap after its added and I will fix it for you!
