Hi Steve,
Somewhere there's a glitch in your site path. On the home page the css path is correct
/templates/js_optimus_free/css/template_css.css
On the other pages it's trying to download the css from
/index.php/templates/js_optimus_free/css/template_css.css
I've no idea where the extra 1ndex.php comes from - not seen this before.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the swift reply.
Is there a specific location where my site path is specified? I looked in Joomla's Global Configuration but could only find paths for temporary directories and the like.
Cheers,
Steve

p.p.s
I've just spotted in the template's configuration: "The parameter file /templates/js_optimus_free/params.ini is unwritable! " does this sound relevant?
Similarly on the same page "Cannot assign default template." is displayed under Menu Assignment.
Cheers,
Steve
Hi Steve,
The parameter message is very common and doesn't seem to mean much.
There is no site path setting in Joomla 1.5 - it's all worked out automatically I think. I can't think of anything in ChronoForms core code that would affect this, not why it isn't affecting the front page. I think there must be some stray code - could be in a Chronoforms form or some other module that appears on many pages.

Hi Bob,
On reflection there was ONE other thing on my Joomla install that I changed this morning (how many support calls begin like that...) which in all my panic I'd forgotten about. I'd turned on "Search Engine Friendly URLs" in Global Config.. Turning it off fixed the problem.
Why it caused the problem is another matter but in any event it seems unrelatedto ChronoForms which I'll be reinstalling this evening.
Cheers,
Steve
Hi.
I seem to have the same problem, but in reverse. When I turn on the bot, my front page formatting goes away (but only in IE, not Opera, Firefox, or any other common browser). Selecting another page restores all formatting until I return to the front page where it all goes away again.
Turning off the bot solves the problem, at the expense of shutting down the comment engine.
I use iJoomla Magazine, and all was well until I installed a recent magazine upgrade and created this problem. The problem comes and goes with the comment bot, but it was working fine until I upgraded something else.
I have reinstalled both application (iJoomla magazine and chronocomments) with no success.
I'm hoping the solution to your problem will help me with mine.
Thanks,
Bob
Hi bpushard,
I think that there is some conflict between the magazine and the Comments CSS, may be I can know whats wrong if you posted a live link to the page with the problem!

Thanks, Max.
I don't want to hijack this post with my problem.
My site is <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.svweekly.com">www.svweekly.com</a><!-- w -->.
The installation is in a subdirectory /joom158, my 'A" record will direct you there automatically.
Thanks for any help you can provide - hopefully it will aid all of us with this problem.
Bob
Hi Bob,
What 'A record' - I don't see any A record or any form on this page or anywhere obvious???
Bob
me too!!

The 'A' record is set up at the server level. It automatically redirects all visitors to <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.svweekly.com">www.svweekly.com</a><!-- w --> to <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.svweekly.com/joom158">www.svweekly.com/joom158</a><!-- w -->.

I cant find the form, where is it?

If you are refering to the comment entry form, when I enable the module the site will not work in IE. Since 60% of my traffic uses IE, I have unpublished the module to keep my site working.
Please send me an email, and I'll forward you administrator access so you can turn it on and off at your convenience to see if you can identify the proble.
Thanks,
Bob
Hi,
well, diagnosing IE CSS issues may not be easy at all for me, I may need some CSS expert to check the page which may take sometime, I don't think this is good for your case now, so I suggest that you ask some body who is good in CSS to check it for you or that you play with it in a local copy of the site.

Max
