There is no form with this name...

Checkmate 20 Jan, 2009
Ok... I have the email enabled. The form works when I click link inside chronoforms.

So I setup a Chronoform menu link, I go to the site and click the menu button which takes me to my form. I fill out my form. I hit submit.

"There is no form with this name or may be the form is unpublished, Please check the form and the url and the form management"

Which is pretty weird since it found the form and let me fill it out...

Great product but man, someone as familiar with Joomla as I am shouldn't have to read 3 tutorials and still not be able to get a simple form working...

That whole form wizard thing to... yuk...

Hi checkmate,

Really hard to help without any specific information. Most times this works out of the box but you can get this problem if the calling url isn't complete. I think we've seen this sometimes with subdirectory Joomla installations; some SEF URLs; sometimes with <form> tags in the form html.

Is your form on-line?

it is in a sub directory. Hopefully thats the entire problem.

Ok... all i did was re-publish the menu link so you could see it and today its working...

The anti-spam feature still dosen't show up but I haven't spent any time touble shooting it yet. I just get the error saying I didnt fill it out.

The anti spam tool doesnt show up, and neither does the text box to enter it. if you hit submit on the form it says that you need to fill it out before you can submit. Just nothing to fill out. Can see it from the link in my last post.

Thanks,

Hi checkmate,

I don't see any form there? Unless you are talking about the registration form in the module?

Sorry, I guess I should have given the exact page its on. If you click on Talent Registry from the main menu that will take you to the form.

Thanks,

Hi checkmate,

did you add {imageverification} in the form code ?

That was it thanks. I'm sure I would have found that I needed to add that once going through the forums. But a note or somthing probably should be added to the anti-spam page, considering you can't use the anti-spam option without adding that tag. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

Hi checkmate,

It's always worth checking the tooltips, but you are right, it would be better in plain text.

I have the same problem. My form can be found at http://www.mortgagesnewjersey.com/contact-us.html. Everything is working and I am now receiving the emails. But, whether I click on the internal form link or the menu link I still get "There is no form with this name ... etc." Help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi alastis,

Your form is off-line.

Have you checked the Email tutorial in the DownLoads area here?

Update: OK, I think it's fixed. The "ChronoForms" module was enabled and it was displaying the message "There is no form with this name ... etc." on the form page. After disabling the module, the message disappeared and the form seems to be working fine.

Hi alasitis,

Ok - glad to hear that it's fixed

Having the same problem here. Just upgraded to ChronoForms 3.1 RC5.5 running J 1.5.14 and I can't get a simple contact form to work.

As far as I can see, it's all set up correctly, email fields are enabled, form is published, form appears on a newly created test page:

http://www.dogcruces.com/test-form

But after submitting I get this message:

There is no form with this name or may be the form is unpublished, Please check the form and the url and the form management

I see this mentioned on several other threads. I don't know what the problem is - any ideas?
GreyHead 25 Oct, 2009
Hi gnubler,

It looks as though your form name is contact-main please change this to something without the dash - like contact_main or contactmain. Hyphens can give ChronoForms indigestion :-(

Hopefully this will solve the problem, if not we'll look again.

THANK YOU, GreyHead. That was the problem. It's working fine now.

I hope this is boldly noted in the documentation somewhere - it probably is and I just missed it. I've just wasted a good hour of my life because of a DASH.

Thanks again.
