E-mail not working

I have the e-mail setup on the forms and i'm using the php engine protocol. When I turn on the debug mode nothing comes up. any suggestions anyone?

Hard to tell, but it sounds as though you may not have emails fully enabled. Please get the Email tutorial from the downloads area here and run through it to check all the steps are complete.
