Hi,
I have been using chronocomments and it's been great -- until I set some settings including no captcha and guests comments don't publish automatically.
That was last night. This morning I noticed comments are no longer shown anywhere on the site (except the module is working OK), and in the back-end, the button for Parameters is missing!
I backed up the comments and reinstalled, and still the same problem.
Please let me know if there's a solution for this. Thanks.
Hi lateupdate,
you say the "parameters" tab disappeared ? did you upgrade your Joomla version or did any change to your site recently ?
cheers

I did upgrade to J!1.5.9 recently, but the error wasn't there until I changed my chronocomments parameters. But yeah, it disappeared -- I went to the admin files and saw that the code is still there that calls up that particular button, so it's not as if that file has become corrupted.
I also tried to find a config file or any database tables handling the configuration, thinking perhaps I could manually reset them... couldn't find them though! I'm still adjusting to J!1.5.x, having been more learned with the 1.0 variety.
oh ok, I didn't know there is J1.5.9 yet, I will need to test this myself before I can give you any hints, you can play with it until I get back to you, If I didn't reply by late Tuesday then ping me with a post here because I'm alittle busy finishing an update for Chronoforms!
Cheers

Thanks -- any hints as to which files I should zero in on? I can take it from there and let you know if I find the solution, which I will also post.
try the files under administrator/components/com_chronocomments/ the toolbar files, you may try to install a complete clean J1.5.9 sub site for testing and try installing Chronocomments on this one and see, this will give you more ideas for sure!
