Emails will Not Send

randy1982 06 Jan, 2009
Hello,

I have been to the FAQ section. My Joomla site sends emails no problem at all, I did the debug on the form and it said everything was a-okay. All the addresses are correct. I'm not sure what to do next. The form validates and goes to the confirmation page just fine, but there's no email in the destination box.

Help?

Hi Randy1982,

OK - the Email sent message means that ChronoForms has received an 'OK' response back from the Joomla mailer so it's most likely that the problem is with your ISP mailer somewhere. Have you checked your spam folder? (Sorry to ask but it 's the most frequent answer.)

Do you have different 'To'and From/Reply To 'addresses?

Are the From/Reply To addresses from the same domain as your site?

If that's all OK please post the 'debug email image here so we can take a look.

Thanks

Bob

Hi,
Ithink I am having the same problem. Debug message:

* Form passed first SPAM check OK
* Form passed the submissions limit (if enabled) OK
* Form passed the Image verification (if enabled) OK
* Form passed the server side validation (if enabled) OK
* Form passed the plugins step (if enabled) OK
* Emails data loaded OK
* Form passed all before email code evaluation OK
* Debug End

Thanks for the submit

Please let me know how to proceed. I have checked to see if emails are going through and they are.

Hi ishar,

It looks to me as though the email isn't enabled. Please check the 'Send Emails' option in the General Tab (which controls all emails) and the 'Enabled Option' in the Properties on the 'Setup Emails' tab (which controls individual emails). If they are set successfully you should see 'Enabled: 1, Disabled:0' in the Emails column in the Form Manager.

Hi Ishtar,

That's CF v3.0 you should see both of these.

Hi,
The 'Enabled' option in Email properties is not clickable 😟 What have I done wrong??😲

Hi ishar,

You don't have all the necessary fields (a) To (b) Subject (c) ReplyTo name (d) ReplyTo email (or the dynamic equivalents) in your email.

Please check out the Email tutorial in the DownLoads area as all this is explained.

Hi Bob,

This thread sorta got taken away from me. As far as I know, I've done everything right. The messages are not in my spam folder. The debug message looks like this:

Message
Form passed first SPAM check OK
Form passed the submissions limit (if enabled) OK
Form passed the Image verification (if enabled) OK
Form passed the server side validation (if enabled) OK
Form passed the plugins step (if enabled) OK
Emails data loaded OK
Form passed all before email code evaluation OK
Debug End

Thank you for your submission. We will contact you shortly.

Hi Randy,
That is the exact error I had. You need to add the proper email to, subject, email fromname etc fields in the email properties.

Please check out the Email tutorial in the DownLoads area as all this is explained.

Hi Randy,

It does look as though you have a similar problem to Ishar, the 'Email sent' deBug message isn't showing up in the DeBug report so I suspect that emails aren't fully enabled.
