Glitched.

mdwbeex 19 Dec, 2008
I'm using Chrono contact, and Chrono comment - both excellent by the way - however, I have a little problem -

When using the
{chronocontact}ContactUs{/chronocontact}
operator, the chronocomment form shows up also directly underneath the contact form.

The comment form shows up properly, on all pages specified, with the exception of showing up uninvited on the contact us page. I'd use a direct link to the contact form, however that causes an altogether different problem, which I suspect has more to do with the template than the chrono software...

In a nutshell, I don't want the comment form on the contact form page - any ideas on how to rectify the problem sans searching out yet another contact or comment software?

Hi mdwbeex,

I'll try to take a look at this later but I'm nto a ChronoComments user and will have to go and search through the code. If Max is around later he may have a suggestion for you.

Hi mdwbeex,

ChronoComments is not tied to ChronoForms and it should appear only at the pages you configure at the parameters page, disable this article in the parameters page if you don't want the comments to be there, or is there something I missed ?

I "fixed" it. Rather than using the operator, I hard linked to the form itself.

I had the operators set properly (I quadruple checked before I posted) it seems just an odd anomaly. I am on joomla 1.5.8, and using the current posted version of chrono forms and comments.

This is just to let you know I found a work-around for it and for your future reference, if you guys want to investigate.

A minor issue in an otherwise excellent set of components and plugins - I look forward to seeing what you guys put out next.

Thank you, I will move it to the bugs section of the comments component!
