500 - Internal Server Error

catfish252 11 Dec, 2008
I have used the chrono extension for over a year with no problems, now for some reason, after a customer fills out a simple 4 field form here: http://www.thequinnhouse.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&Itemid=56 and hits the submit button they will get the following:
******************************
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, support@supportwebsite.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Apache/1.3.33 Server at http://www.thequinnhouse.com Port 80
*****************************
The form does work properly, I get the email and in all respects everything seems okay, except for that error. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi catfish252,

Please ask your ISP if they have changed anything and look at the server logs.

I'm guessing that something changed around access permissions for the code that creates the Anti-Spam image. But that is a guess, there's no real evidence.

Thanks Bob -- By Anti spam image, do you mean the captcha image? If so I never implemented that in our form. I will try to get a look at the server logs if I can figure out where they are. Thanks again.

Hi catfish252,

Hmmm . . . often the server tiem out errors are problems with graphics processing and the anti-spam image the only place that ChronoForms does any.

BTW the link you posted below to
http://qhxmas/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&Itemid=56
is broken - I've tried <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.qhxmas.com">www.qhxmas.com</a><!-- w --> without success.

Oh it's http://www.thequinnhouse.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&Itemid=56 - the form looks fine but I also get the error.
