Where to place licensed template files?

ahannover 29 Oct, 2008
Hi
I have just purchased a license for each of your three products.
I'm currently trying to replace the three template files for Chronocomments to remove backlink, but I fail to find the original files!

The install instructions refer to the location components/com_chronocomments/templates/
but I don't even have that directory (not for front or backend!).
What to do?
Best regards
Anders

Hi Anders,

Please check that you have the latest versions - there should be a templates folder in the front-end.

This is very strange bob.
I installed using ChronoComments_1.2_Express_Install.zip and Installation did not give any error messages.
Everything works on public front end. (but since I now identified this issue it might not be shown the way it is supposed to.)
BUT I dont have a /webroot/components/com_ chronocomments at all ! and still it works from public front end.
I do have it in the administrator/components/ but the templates is also not in that one.

What do you recommend. Uninstalling and re-installing?

I just tried to un-install and re-install.
Same status. No trace of /components/com_chronocomments

I know that it should be possible to do a manual install using the files in the zip.
Could you guide me to where to put which files?

I feel so a shamed😶
I have solved it. Lets' just say that winscp do not automatically reload directory contents.....

Hi Anders,

No problem - we've all done that (or something very like it).

Is it working now?

Hi Andres,

Winscp or CuteFTP or others are using the cache when you navigate between directories, you should always reload when you are looking for some file under some directory you have visited before!

Cheers
