I want to upgrade from ChronoForms 2.5 RC3.1 to 3.0 stable. I have searched both the site and this forum but can't find any information how to do it.

Backup your database, take backup copies of all of your Forms from the form manager.
Ideally, install CF v3.0 into a temporary Joomla install and recreate all your forms there by copying and pasting the form html and the various settings over from the old forms. Back these up then uninstall CF 2.5 from your live site, install CF 3.0, restore the forms and the database tables.
Sounds worse than it actually is though!
You can skip the temporary install if you need to and recreate the new forms from the backups of the old ones - the cfbak files are just text files and can be opened in NotePad.
