quesiton about license

hey all

just purchased a license as this component is ace!!

however, I have one concern. if I uninstall the free version to install the licensed version. will i lose the forms i've put together in chronoforms?

will i have to re-develop them once i've installed the licensed version.

also, if there are future updates for the component, do we have to pay for them or is it free updates for life - like most joomla components i've bought are (i.e. ijoomla components etc)?

Hi anis,

Don't uninstall and re-intall, you should be able to upgrade to the licensed version. Are there no instructions in the email Max sent you?

If you do ever need to reinstall you can take backup copies of your forms (and the databse tables) and restore them into the new version. The only time this doesn't work is for upgrade from CF 2.5 to CF 3.0

So far there have been no additional fees for upgrades - I guess that Max might add some for a major upgrade in the future.

I think Max sends out the email 'by hand' so you should get it as soon as he is in the office again.

got your email. Will upgrade towards end of the week. Got the forms currently working on receiving applications. don't want to jinx myself and break everything.

Will do it once I've closed app dates.
