Resume Wizard

codeali 15 Oct, 2008
Hello Admin,

Great Component for sure! :o

I use community builder on my Joomla 1.5 website and want to add a Resume Wizard to it my website is not a job site but a place where they can save these resume and can later on share with each others or could email the link to it.

The resume wizard needs to be multi level or multi page process to complete like all the ones online these days.

I hope you can make something like this with Chronoengine, please let me know.

Thanks alot

Hi codeali,

multi page forms feature is in the labs however this will not go out except after other features also are ready and the whole package tested, I have no expected timeline for this, if you want the multi page application feature finished soon and get it applied to your website before the official release date of the new version then we can discuss this.

if you are in rush and want a quick solution then you can search the forums for multi page form and you should find some workarounds, many posted by Bob, let me know if you can't find them.

Cheers,

Max

Hi codeali,

You can build multi page forms in various ways. The main differences are using JavaScript - for example Joomla Slides or Tabs (like the Admin interface) to hide parts of the form temporarily; or using server-side multi-page forms where you save the data entered after each page and show a new form.

Both can be done fairly easily, but you need to think through the whole design first. One important question is whether users will complete the form in one session. or do it in two or three sessions. You need to know how to identify them safely and to recovere their data when they come back.
