Not able to edit the comment I post!

31nst31n 15 Oct, 2008
Hi,

I had installed chronocomments 1.1 in my localsite and was not able to edit the comments I post (as the current logged in user).
I just confirmed that I still have the problem even after updating to the new version, 1.2 😶

I'm not so sure that I've configured it properly, so I've attached the screenshot of my configs.

What I wanted to see is,
1. Edit option is enabled only for the comments that particular logged in user has made.
2. All the backend users should be able to see edit option in all the comments.

So please let me know If i'm missing something after checking the attachment.

Regards
Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,

this feature is not possible yet, it doesn't work although its there, only those users from groups selected in edit permissions can edit comments, but not comments owners,

this feature will be fixed in the next release.

I think with your current config you have #2 working ?

Cheers,

Hi Max,

Thanks for the lightning fast reply... #2 feature is working fine with my current conf's...
Was just wondering if someones accidentally posts some comment and if he's thinking of editing or deleting it, then
Anyways, this is one of the best plugins I've used...
Good work...

I understand this is an old post, but I don't see the issue brought up anywhere else. Any update on this? I just recently got this component and just realized the user edit doesn't work. I assume it still hasn't been fixed? I'm not sure if an update has happened since this posting so maybe it's upcoming?

Thanks.

Hi Colin,

this is on hold still, once there is a new version for Chronoforms you can start expecting a new release for ChronoComments.
