Include the value from date picker in email

bobwhosmiles 05 Oct, 2008
Hi,

I'm using Joomla 1.5 and ChronoForms 3.0 Stable.

I've created a form and one of the fields is the datetime picker.

I want to include the date value that the user chooses in the email generated by the form. I used the wizard and when I clicked the button to include a form field in the email template, as long as I clicked in the input box for each field, it was automatically added to the email template - eg Name: {text_0}

No amount of clicking would include the date value. Anyone know how I do this, or where I get a list of the field names?

Cheers

Hi Bob,

there is a form source button at the top to let you view the whole form source code, you can use it to find all the fields names, instead you can right click the field in Firefox and select "inspect element" to know its name, you can also try not to click the field itself in the field picker and click to the right of it at the same horizontal level and see if this works ?

Cheers

this happens to me too, i have to manually edit the mail template and include the datepicker fieldname where i want it.
if i click to the right of it nothing happens

i really have no problem on doing this , but is not me who will be creating the forms it will be my client and he just get histerical when he needs to edit ANY code.

Hi arana,

No changes have been made to the wizard since this time but soon we will have V3.1 so I will move this post to the bugs forums and will check it before I put the new version live and hopefully I will be able to fix it!
