CF in content: "you are not allowed to access this url"

fidelityhh 21 Sep, 2008
Hi,

I'm a newbie in using ChronoForms but got along quite far... just one thing is absolutely confusing:

I added my form within the content (article) using the mambot plugin and the line {chronocontact}cfKontaktform{/chronocontact}. When I click on "submit" I get the error message "You are not allowed to access this URL". When I use the form directly it works fine.

Any suggestions? I'm giving up now and hope for some help...

Thanks in advance!

Maybe helpful: I'm using Joomla V1.5.6, CF 3 Stable (downloaded on Sept 21, 01:00am UTC) and the mambot plugin (downloaded on the same date/time).

Hi fidel,

the current plugin doesn't support the V3.0 stable, I will release a new fixed one in an hour or so, please keep checking, I will add it to the downloads section once ready!🙂

Max

what has to be uninstalled before V0.8 can be installed? There are no mambots in 1.5

Best regards
Marcel

Hi Marcel,

Sorry but I can't understand you, this page :
http://www.chronoengine.com/downloads/folder/12-Mambot.html

there are 2 mambots, one for V3.x of Chronoforms and another for V2.x, which Chronoforms version do you have ?

Which plugin must be uninstalled first?
Max_admin 21 Sep, 2008
Hi, you will go to Extensions > install/uninstall > plugins!

uninstall the chronocontact plugin from the list if its there then get V0.8 and install it!

We are experiencing the same problem with one of our sites, We tried copying everything from a working form but that error keeps popping up. We tried the solution above but that did not help.

We started out with Chrono Contact Enabled 3.0 STABLE 17.09.2008 Chronoman
which was installed as a component. We had no Mambots or Plugins or Modules installed beside that component. We now installed the membot version 0.8 but that did nothing as far as wel can tell.

We use the same server to host the databases, tried making a new table for the form but nothing will work. I could give you (admin) the joomla login details so you could have a look at the problem, it might help solving the problem for everyone. Let me know if you need the details or more information.
Max_admin 22 Sep, 2008
Hi BandBreader, do you have the mambot enabled ?

Not at first, we didnt do it the first few tries, and on a sister-site it works without. I even added the latest mambot but that didn't help.

Could it be I have to change some code somewhere? and would I need the mambot or no?
Max_admin 22 Sep, 2008
Hi BandBread, please let me know what you are trying to do exactly, what do you write in the content body to view the form ? do you have the mambot installed and enabled or not and which Chronoforms component and mambot versions!

I have downloaded the latest versions and used the licence "patch" so I have 3.0 STABLE and ChronoForms Mambot V 0.8 - CFV3.0 Stable.zip but I ran the site without the mambot for a while.

I made a simple form:

http://www.prainfo.nl/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&Itemid=3

and whenever I post it I get the same error message as the topic says. I have other forms running on different sites but on the same server which work perfect.

I have tried nearly everything I can find, I am at the end of my wits. I could send you the admin password by PM if you could have a look at it.
Max_admin 22 Sep, 2008
Hi BandBread,

the error then means that you didn't apply the correct patch for the license, you got V3.0 stable installed but you applied the BETA 2 patch, please get back to the license email and get the V3.0 stable patch, the file name has V3.0 stable in it! its the last one in the list!

let me know

Argl... you fix it in one site and then the next pops up with problems... Here is a screenshot:

I am running Joomla! 1.5.6 (I know, I know...) and have installed the Chrono contact 3.0 Stable. I have received your latest licenced version and placed it on the Server and I get the same problem, when I use the Stable patch, I get an error telling me that I cannot access the URL, when I overwrite the chronocontact.php.html with the version from the 3.0 BETA version, the form works but I get the Joomla network banner again. I dont know what the problem is now and which version I should use.

Is it possible to get a FULL version of the 3.0 Stable Licensed version to install? for future projects? That would make my life a lot easier. (reminds me, we are running 3 forms now... almost time to buy another license😉 )
Max_admin 26 Sep, 2008
Hi bandbread, please don't use the beta any more as we have stable!

install the stable from the site here and the email I sent you should have a file which has the word "v3 stable patch", just extract and replace files and you are done! send me through the contact us if you didn;t get this file and I will email it alone!

I can't include all the V3.0 stable in the email because its about 1 MB, many mail servers will block this!

No I tried that one aswell, and others, multiple times but I kept getting the same problem... But now I did something even more stupid...

I tried uninstalling Chronoforms and reinstalling it. Then I tried manually deleting the files on the FTP and reinstalling, no go. Then i tried deleting the database entries on the server and reinstalling, no go...

Right now I have cleared everything I can find what even remotely looks like chronoforms but whenever I try to reinstall chronoform v3.0 Stable, Joomla gives me the following error (it changes somewhat, depending on what I do or change some settings).

... I am confused, in the meantime I was writing this, it seems that chronoforms was succesfully installed... very strange. I will have a look to see if the forms work and get back on it.
Bandbreed 26 Sep, 2008
Very odd, it seems to work okay for now... may be some lag in the server keeping it from updating... I don't know. I wish I would know the answer.
Max_admin 26 Sep, 2008

I am having the same problem, only with a twist. I have one form, the first, working now about a week. However, I created another form tonight and started getting this "You are not allowed to access this URL ' message during testing. I've created several forms, all of which do this. I've deleted them and started over and get this same message.

Web site is http://www.thurstonvfd.com and I have the orignal form, which works is called car show registration. The other form will not.

Let me know
