Hi Ron
How many fields does your form have ? if you have more than a 100 then it may be your max_input_vars limit
Before trying to increase this value on the server, please try to add more fields but use the "Save" button to save your form (not the Quick Save), does the "Save" button overcome the problem or the problem still occurs ?

I mean this:

it's under "System information" > PHP information: administrator/index.php?option=com_admin&view=sysinfo
you did not say if they vanish regardless of using "Save" & "Quick Save" or there is a difference between the 2 buttons ?

So does using "Quick save" make you able to continue working on your form ?

I think it will be ready soon, but what about using the "Quick save" for now ? it does the job, correct ?

Please update to v8.0.34 then go to the Settings page and enable the "Increase max fields" setting then test how it works with your form, it should fix the issue
Let me know your test results
And please take a form backup before saving the form with the new setting enabled.

it was working fine without the 8.0.34 update or with it, please clarify
even with the "Increase max fields" setting enabled in 8.0.34, there is still a high limit, in that case you will need to increase the max_input_vars in your PHP and then restart the web server

do you have the "increase max fields" setting enabled or not ? how many fields did you have in the form editor before the "vanish" happened ?

Hi Ron
I suggest that you take a form backup (copy) every while, I can add more than 200 fields here without issues with the same PHP settings, so maybe there was some error when you tried to save, but I can not know about it because I'm not able to reproduce the issue

Hi marrose
When the fields get lost, how many fields remain in the form after the save ?
Does it save correctly when you enable the "Increase max fields" under the Chronoforms8 settings page ?

ok, please check the PHP setting below, in your Joomla admin area:
System > information > system information > php information > max_input_vars:

What is the value of your setting ?

I do not know what might be causing this, 1000 allows around 70 items per form here and if you enable the Increase max fields then you will be able to have much more.
can I get a temporarily admin login to test this on your website ? if yes then you can send it on the Contact page
