CF8 license

support210 05 Dec, 2024

I am finishing the development of a client's website that has several secondary domain names. When I put it into production I will purchase the related CF8 license. How does the component behave with secondary domain names (of the same site)?

a validation for domain.com will validate sub.domain.com and other.domain.com beside the main domain.com

is this what you mean ?

I'll give you a concrete example (I'm attaching the cPanel screenshot). My client, for whom I'm developing the updated Joomla 5 website, which you're also following by answering the various threads opened in the last few weeks with the reference to CF8, has 5 domain names pointing to the same website.

if the form will appear under domain1.com AND under domain2.com then you need 2 validations for this, but if you will redirect domain2.com to domain1.com and the form will always appear under domain1.com only then only 1 validation is needed

does this answer the question ?

Answer

OK, thanks for your confirmation. I am checking with the client which solution we should choose. Whether we should use redirects (which will affect SEO) or buy 5 licenses. Thanks.

according to what I know, having duplicate content under different domains is not good for SEO
