Sort Option in table

Enable sorting in a ChronoForms table when using a Data Source.

Overview

The sort option is unavailable because the Data Source was incorrectly entered with variable syntax.
Enter the Read Data action name directly, without variable tags, to automatically copy the sortable settings.

I notice in Table when using Data Source the sort option is not available in the dropdown. However when using Table Name as a data source, it is. Is this intentional?

Thanks

Answer

yes, if you use Data Source then just enter the Read Data name (read_data1) and the sort columns will be copied from the Read Data sortable settings, this was done to avoid duplicating the configuration

Thanks, yes that makes sense. However when I do this and add as example {var:read_data1} as the data source in the table, then the table column name, say ID to the sortable, the ID shows in the table but it is not highlighted. Am I missing a step?

you need to use read_data1 directly, no {var: or }, using the action name will enable the settings copy
