dropdown empty default field

How to set up an empty default option ?

This would help preventing unintentional wrong selection when entry is required.

Thanks

Answer

The dropdown field has an empty option by default:

=Make a choice

you can change it to full empty one:

the photo quality is very bad, on windows 10 you should use screen snip tool then save to a file and attach it

What are you trying to do ? display a dropdown with empty option or save something to the database ?

Max I am trying to have a dropdown with an empty option AND after submission save the entries to the database. Why does it not work?

the value of the pills field is "blue" in the data array, so it looks like you do not have the "Save Data" getting the value of this field correctly, how do you have the Save data configured ?

try to set the data source to {data:}

if that does not work for your case then you need to setup the Modify Data Source behavior
