I've upgraded my site to J4 and it seems as if CF7 don't really fit into the J4 "Menu assingnment function". I can't assign certain modules to CF4.
Known issue?
//Dennis
what do you mean by "can't assign certain modules" ? you mean a menuitem of type CF7 ?

Hi,
I have upgraded to J4 and a new template YOOtheme.
In our memberarea we have a new position "sidebar" where the menu for the memberarea is located.
The idea is that the position should be visible when clicking on any menuitem - and it is - for all exept the CF7.
These menuitems are CF7 "index.php?option=com_chronoforms7&view=form" and thte sidebar is not to be seen even if I put them in a article (plugin).
The URL looks a bit different compared to J3 (and the old template YOUGrids)
J3: "/anmalan-ungdomsgrupp.html?chronoform=anmalan_ungdomsgrupp&gpage=listing"
J4: "/component/chronoforms7/?chronoform=anmalan_ungdomsgrupp&gpage=listing"
//Dennis
if the URL is theme dependent then it's an issue with the theme

Hi Max,
Well, its just with CF7 that the URL gets like this, with RSEvent!PRO. Phoca Download and ACY-mailing the URL stays the same as the old.
So YOOtheme belives that the issue lies with CF7.

How does v8 work ? could you please test v8 on the same website ? just create a simple 1 field form and let me know if the link works as expected or not
you can install v8 on the same website with v7

Tried to install the CF8 but go a SQL-error : Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes
this should be fixed in the next update, but the error is dependent on your mysql installation, so most users do not have this error
the new update should be available by Monday I believe

Hi Max,
The update made the installation run.
Thanks

Now I must learn to create a v8-form ....
v8 is easier to use than v7
just create a very simple form, does the url work correctly ?

Hi,
Created the "Simple Contact Form" and it seems to work.
And the URL seems to look OK.

Hi Max,
So no fix for v7?
//Dennis
Hi again Max,
I discovered that a "Sequential form" works in CF7 (public accessable) if I put it in the place with issues, and it is a "Standalone form" (logged-in users) that doesn't work.
The "Sequential" is for putting data into the DB, the "Standalone" is to list this data (and the "Standalone" alters the URL).
So I don't know how to test this in CF8.
v8 forms are sequential only at the moment
are you saying that v7 sequential forms urls are working fine but not the "standalone" forms ?

Hi Max,
Yes, I use the "Standalone" forms (listing) in the logged-in area where the "sidebar"-menu is present.
I didn't realize it before you asked me to test the v8-form and I tested my sequential forms in that position.
//Dennis
how does your listing works ? you have a page for listing only or other pages as well ?

Hi Max,
If I get a email to you I can do a backup and send it to you?
//Dennis
How do I attach a file to the ticket?
//Dennis
Hi Dennis,
I was asking about a description of how your listing work, I do not need to have a backup
v8 has a "Table view" which can list records, but any advanced features like filtering or editing..etc will be available in Connectivity 8, which is not ready yet.
if you have J4 or J5 then please update your v7 to 7.0.12 and check if this helps ?

Hi Max,
Well, 7.0.12 didn't make it.
