Update from Chronoforms 4 to 7

Upgrade from ChronoForms v4 to v7 without losing forms.

Overview

The issue is that direct updates from v4 to v7 are not supported, and forms may not migrate correctly.
To upgrade, first install v5 and attempt to import v4 forms, then install v7 and import from v5. However, for complex forms, it is recommended to recreate them directly in v7 to ensure full functionality.

Hi, I am working on a joomla 3 website that uses chronoforms v4. I want to migrate to joomla 4, so chronoforms has to be updated as well. However, I dont; succeed in updating chronoforms without losing the exisiting forms. If made an extra copy of the website to test some things. If I install chronoforms 5 as a first step, the forms will not be visible in v5. I tried to make a backup of the forms in v4 so I can hopefully restore them in v5, but making a backup in v4 results in an error ('Call to undefined function ereg()'). Anyone any ideas on how to upgrade without losing the forms?

There is no way to update to v7 from v4, you will need to remake all your forms.

You may try to install v5, then import your forms there, then install v7 and then import v5 forms, but I do not believe any advanced forms will be working after that.

So you better create your forms on v7
