Mootools Alternative?

Mootools is a whopping 74k, slows down my website load times... is there an alternate validator that will work with chronoforms 3.0 beta 2

well, mootools is used at Joomla 1.5 by default now, I'm planning to add a plain alert boxes validation to the next release, until this time there is no alternative except your own code then!
