My form is saving to the datatable but I can't see how to download the data to my computer other than via mysql which isn't very helpful.
When I click on View Log there's nothing there. CFv5 had a datable download facility. Have we lost that?
Hi cappleby,
I assume that you are using CFv7? If so then in Advanced Mode there are Advanced Actions to do a CSV download or a XLSX download.

Hi Bob,
I wasn't lookingfor something to put in my form. I was looking for a way of downloading all the form submissions from the datatable to my computer. In CFv5 there's a link to the datable that does what the View log action at the end of the particular Form line in CFv7 appears to want to do, except that it doesn't go to the selected datatable for that form .

Hi Chris,
You could create a form to do this full download. Though if you are using Excel and your database is accessible remotely then there is an Excel extension available on the MySQl site that will let you keep the two in sync.
Bob
Yes that works thank you. It would be good if the forms component still had that facility though.
Thanks again Bob.

Cappleby,
I regularly download as CSV files right from the MyPHP from Cpanel. I go to the data table for each individual form and download as a CSV which is one of the options. It gives me all the data from each form I have on the website. Open in Excel and save in that format.
Right now everything is Chronoforms version 6 and I am moving to redoing all in Chronoforms 7. However, from what I understand you have to manually build the data tables in version 7 and save to the data table you name.
And trust me, I am no expert by any means. But this works well for the 5 separate reports I have to do on a monthly basis.
Best,
Donna
