Buenos días, he intentado instalar esta traducción al español y me da el siguiente error:

¡Error! No puedo encontrar un archivo de configuración XML en el paquete.

Gracias.

Hi Goyo,

These are not Joomla Installer files. Copy the ini files to the correct locations:
* language/xx-XX/xx-XX.com_chronocomments.ini
* administrator/language/xx-XX/xx-XX.com_chronocomments.ini
Note The two xx-XX.com_chronocomments.ini files are identical.
* language/xx-XX/xx-XX.plg_content_ChronoComments.ini

Bob

from Google
Estos no son archivos del instalador de Joomla. Copie los archivos ini a las ubicaciones correctas:
* language/xx-XX/xx-XX.com_chronocomments.ini
* administrator/language/xx-XX/xx-XX.com_chronocomments.ini
Nota: Los dos xx-XX.com_chronocomments.ini archivos son idénticos.
* language/xx-XX/xx-XX.plg_content_ChronoComments.ini

Is that the main "language" folder?
Do we have to create the "xx-XX" folder inside the main language folder too? I did it, and couldn't get it to translate 😢

Any kind of help will be appreciated
GreyHead 28 Jan, 2009
Hi paldetrago,

Yes it is the main language folder. If you don't already have the es-SP folder then most likely your Joomla site isn't set up to use Spanish?

A I can see in the code of the component, the backend language file is in the path URL/administrator/components/com_chronocontact/languages and this is the only file the back end use. One solution is to change this file translating it to spanish (I can make it, but it is a patch).

The Spanish version didn't work, the translation does nothing. I copy the files in the correct places, but i get no changes in the language. The language is es_ES (as i think it should be). The Joomla Version is 1.5.15 so maybe is a problem with the version. Can i get some help, please?

Hi lamassa,

This forum section is talking about ChronoComments and your post appears to be about ChronoForms.

There is no easy way to translate the main ChronoForms files, they are not written to use language files.

Hi Angeles,
Thanks for your contribution. However, I am afraid there are two terms which may have other traslations:
SAVE: GUARDAR (instead of salvar)
and
UNPUBLISH: QUITAR DE CIRCULACIÓN (instead of "despublicar" which is not even an real word in Spanish).
Being so attached to the source may be a mistake in some Spanish Translation Services. Trying to avoid risks is sometimes even more risky! 😉

Hope it helps!
