Hi,

It also happens to me. Even it's not working at all.

these are my steps when installing your "crhonocomments"
1. Install the component. i go to Extension > Install/Uninstall
Browse the package file(ChronoComments_Component_1.1.zip), then click Upload & Install.
Result: Install component was success, but it shows warning like below

Warning: zip_entry_read() [function.zip-entry-read]: The bytes parameter must greater then zero in /home/jesusfor/public_html/JoyWeb/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/zip.php on line 239

Warning: zip_entry_read() [function.zip-entry-read]: The bytes parameter must greater then zero in /home/jesusfor/public_html/JoyWeb/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/zip.php on line 239

Warning: zip_entry_read() [function.zip-entry-read]: The bytes parameter must greater then zero in /home/jesusfor/public_html/JoyWeb/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/zip.php on line 239

2. Install the plugin. Go to same location.
Browse the package file(ChronoComments_plugin_1.1.zip), then click Upload & Install.
Result:installed successfully with no problem.

3. Install the Module. Go to same location.
Browse the package file(mod_chronocomments_1.1.zip), then click Upload & Install.
Result: it's successfully, but shows this error
JInstaller::install: File '/home/jesusfor/public_html/JoyWeb/tmp/install_48c4d0caaaf6e/en-GB.mod_chronocomments.ini' does not exist.

4. because it think it was ok,i continue to setup this "chronocomments".
i went to Components > Chrono Comments > Comments Manager. click on "Parameters" icon.
i select all section, all Categories, all articles,
i enabled in "Show Comments link in BLog view"
i select "yes" in "Guest can post"
i saved my changed and go to front-end, there still no comment box to fill.

Did i miss some thing? Can you help me?

Is there any manuals or user guide for installing "crhonocomments"?
I hope you provide it.

Best Regards

Hi Di2, yes you didn't enable the plugin, regarding the errors all the way, for #1, I'm not sure whats this but if it will make no problems then thats fine, because may be its a joomla related issue, for #3, when did you get the module zip ? please extract the zip file and check that the language file is there ?

I see, but you have 2 other comments systems installed, I guess you should try with one per time only and see ?

Hey everybody!
I have installed everithing succesfully, but it seems that no comments are showing...
Is there a tutorial for making everything work ?
I'd like to buy a license, i really would but... it does not work...
Any ideea why it is not working ?
Thanks!
Max_admin 02 Oct, 2008
Hi Don De, did you make any type of configuration for the component ? at the admin area choose parameters from the top right and select the artcles/sections where you want the comments to get shown and to which users groups!

let me know!

Cheers

Hi Don De,

this piece is enough to show the comments box at least :

section:faqs
Show Comments link in Blog view:enabled
Posting Permissions/Posting Groups:public frontend
Guests can post ?:yes

are you testing in a FAQs section article page ? why don't you try to choose all sections so you are sure that the comments will get shown ?

at the posting permissions, please check all groups there, if a group is not checked then it will not see the comments post form!

let me know!

Cheers
