Hello,
i use Chronoforms in my joomla 3.x and joomla 4.x sites.
Hack attacks and spam were increasing for the last years and we want to optimize the
usage of our contact forms.
What would you recommend to avoid spam attacks?
Could it also help to be better protected agains spam if hiding the contact form behind a passwort protected Joomla menu?

If you haven't already done so you should add one of the anti-spam input checks. Serverside validation can also help block spam; and you can add custom validations if there are patterns to the spam like repeated IP addresses or URLs in the message text.

Dear Bob,
i`ve added "captcha" from "Designer > Layout > Basic" and with only that, we got a lot of spam in the past.
With what kind of anti-spam input checks do you get the best results?
Could it help to hide the form behind a password protected menu item in Joomla to make it more difficult for hackers to come through?
